পাল বংশ আট শতকের মাঝামাঝি সময় থেকে প্রায় চারশত বছর বাংলা ও বিহারে শাসনকারী রাজবংশ।
গোপাল প্রতিষ্ঠিত এ বংশের শাসন চলে নানা ধরনের উত্থান - পতনের মধ্য দিয়ে আঠারো পুরুষ ধরে।
ধর্মপাল এবং দেবপাল এর শাসনকাল ছিল বংশের উদীয়মান প্রতিপত্তির যুগ। এ সময়ই বাংলা ও বিহারে এ বংশের শাসন দৃঢ়ভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়
